Taste Test (9.25)

I was excited to try the Boba Tea Whey Protein because I love boba and matcha lattes. The classic milk tea flavor scored a 9.5, capturing the authentic taste perfectly.

The matcha latte flavor scored a 9.0. While I preferred the classic boba flavor, the matcha latte was a close second and impressed me with how close it actually tasted to matcha.

Honestly, it took me back to my football days when I’d treat myself to boba after big games. Now, I can enjoy those same flavors while getting my protein fix!

I’m definitely going to tell my clients about this protein. The enjoyable flavors make it easier to hit those daily protein goals, which is a win-win for anyone looking to stay fit and healthy.

Mixability Test (8.5)

Mixability is crucial for a good protein shake, and Boba Tea Whey Protein scored an 8.5. It mixed very well with minimal clumping, which is always a plus.

I remember during my football days, I HATED getting clumps in my protein shake after a tough workout. These days, I’m a little more lenient : ) But luckily, this one goes down smooth, making it a refreshing post-workout drink.

I even tried shaking it up with some ice, and it was reminiscent of drinking cold boba tea on a hot day. The texture stayed consistent, which is a big win.

I’m looking forward to telling my clients about this product. A smooth, easy-to-mix protein powder makes sticking to fitness goals that much easier.

Digestibility (9.0)

Digestibility is a key factor with protein shakes, and Boba Tea Whey Protein scored a solid 9.0. It went down smooth with no stomach issues, which is crucial after a tough workout.

Back in my college football days, I remember struggling with some protein powders that would leave me feeling bloated. This one didn’t cause any discomfort, making it a great option for those with sensitive stomachs.

I’ve had a few clients who have struggled with protein shakes causing digestive issues. I can’t wait to share this one with them, because it’s gentle on the stomach and effective.

Protein Density (6.0)

Protein density is an objective metric based on our proprietary database of 350+ protein powders. Boba Tea Whey Protein scored a 6.0, meaning 63% of its calories come from protein.

Protein density matters because it affects your caloric intake. Less dense protein powders have more calories, which is great if you’re looking to put on weight.

Back in my football days, I aimed to maximize calories and gain weight. A protein like this would have been perfect for me back then!

Now, I watch my weight and calorie intake more closely. For clients looking to lose weight, I recommend more dense proteins like Isopure, which is nearly all protein, to minimize calorie intake while still meeting protein needs.

Cost (7.5)

Cost is always a consideration when choosing a protein powder, and Boba Tea Whey Protein scored a 7.5. At 9 cents per gram of protein, it’s on the pricier side compared to other options.

I remember back in my college days, every dollar counted, and I had to be smart with my budget. This protein might not have fit into my college budget, but its quality ingredients and unique flavors might justify the cost for many.

As a personal trainer, I know some clients are willing to pay more for a product that tastes great and uses clean ingredients. If you’re someone who values these aspects, Boba Tea Whey Protein could be worth the investment.

However, if you’re on a tighter budget, there are more cost-effective options out there like Body Fortress Whey Protein ($0.06 per gram of protein) or Dymatize ISO100 ($0.02 per gram of protein).

Nutritional Value (9.0)

I scored Boba Tea’s Whey Protein a 9 in nutritional value. It features a clean ingredient profile with 100% grass-fed whey protein isolate and no artificial sweeteners, which is surprising considering the flavor profiles.

Back in my football days, I often dealt with products loaded with unnecessary additives. It’s refreshing to see a product that’s straightforward and effective.

If you’re looking for high-quality nutrition without the extra junk, this protein is a solid option. It offers a clean, natural way to meet your protein needs and support your fitness goals.
