Dr. Patrick Jean-Pierre
With a B.S. from Cornell and an M.D. from SUNY Upstate Medical, plus extensive training in internal and sports medicine, I focus on preventing and treating chronic illnesses by combining Western and holistic practices. I specialize in musculoskeletal injuries, offering personalized, non-operative care plans that target the root cause of health issues.
Education & Experience: B.S. in Human Biology and Nutritional Sciences, Cornell University; M.D., SUNY, Upstate Medical University; internship and residency in Internal Medicine, North Shore University Hospital; fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine, Henry Ford Hospital; board certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine; diplomate in Integrative/Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine; professional society memberships at the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine
My extensive hospital experience helped me realize the true importance of prevention—rather than treatment alone—in managing chronic illnesses. As a doctor trained in both internal medicine and anti-aging/integrative medicine, I combine conventional Western medicine with evidence-driven holistic practice. I give patients highly-targeted and personalized treatment and prevention plans—designed to address not only the symptoms, but the root cause.
My training includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries; using a multidisciplinary approach, I provide comprehensive, non-operative plans for treatment. I was once the former assistant team physician for high school and Division I college athletes, and worked closely in my fellowship with the physicians responsible for the medical care of the NFL’s Detroit Lions and MLB’s Detroit Tigers. I have a special interest in the prevention of chronic injuries, exercise programs, and concussion management.
